Does anyone know who decided to call the funny bone the funny bone?? (S)he must of been a pretty twisted individual thinking it is funny. I curse (s)he every time I hit it and I would like a name to add to the curses!! lol

It's called the funny bone because the medical name for it is the Humerus (humourous,get it)

biologically you don't have a funny bone. you have a funny nerve. there is a nerve that goes right under the elbow. you can hit the bone as hard as you want but nothing will happen but hit the nerve and you'll feel it going numb.

The actual name for what we call the "funny-bone", is the humerous. If something is humerous it is funny.
