According to me you are right he should watch his 3.5 years old son and not blame the poor dog ,, Your brother has the brain not the dog , dont blame the dog blame your brother who cannot take care of his son and please dont euthanize the dog ... you will regret it all your life..

Well, your brother is upset. When you have a child, pets and other things seem really, really secondary.(inferior)
You both need to cool off.
Is he still staying with you?
Ask him to leave.
Tell him, its not going to matter whether you kill ralph now or not, it wont undo what has happened.
keep th dog away from kids (and other dogs?) for the rest of its life!

Children are prone to do things like that. You should have had better judgement than to think that the child wouldn't do it again. Even good parents will tell you that their children can get into something in an instant. So, if the animal is that easily provoked, he should be put down. You did say it was the second time he bit someone. What would you do if the dog would have killed the child?

Your brother is right ... if he wants to press charges he's going to win and I'll bet they make you put your dog to sleep. If this is the second time your dog has bit someone he's an overly aggressive dog and should be caged when people are around or put to sleep. Your talking about your dog like its more important then your nephew. GET A CLUE!

under another circumstance, I think he would win the case, but you had warned him before and provided accomodations for the dog to be kept enclosed. he didn't follow the rule, he put his kid in danger. i think you have a good case. you should let him take you to court and from there, it really depends on the judge and their beliefs.

sorry once a dog attacks a dog it needs to be put down also hello a 3 year old is going to be rough. And if it gets reported you may have to put the dog down rather you want to or not.

You said it yourself, the dog severely bit people twice!! What if he would have killed your nephew? And how long will it be before he does?? Put yourself in their position and stop thinking about yourself, the dog is obviously a hazard.

If your dog is vicious, and don't deny it -he is - then it is YOUR responsibility to keep it away form situations like the one that led to your nephew being attatcked. It's your fault, not the dogs. If you're not going to do something about the dog, then somebody should do soething about YOU.
