Yes. I was a mail carrier & worked in the same neighborhood were I lived. You can't always tell who's waving if they go by too fast, have tinted windows, etc. It's the friendly thing to do.

Almost always, isn't that weird, like I don't even know who's waving as he/she drives by or walks by but I wave which implies "hello" on my part and otherwise I wouldn't say hello. This is a weird instinct i guess?
