Some of the WS was played in November in 2001. The season was delayed because of the WTC attack.

The 2001 World Series ended in November because of the week baseball shut down in the wake of 9/11.

Like SPLATT said, in 2001 the World Series was delayed by 9/11 and part of it was played in November. That was how Derek Jeter earned the nickname "Mr. November" after he hit a clutch homer in November.

Yes there has been a couple times. I remember in 2001 because of 9/11. Also in 1988 or 89 because of the earthquake. That is all I know of. Sorry I don't know more.

the 1989 WS would have been played in November, because of the San Francisco earthquake. It was between the SF Giants and the Oakland As, and had Oakland not swept, the last two games would have been in Nov..
