Im 26 weeks and really small too. Im 5'6" and 118 lbs my baby is normal 2lbs and 14 inches long
you may think you look small when you compare yourself to women that gain way too much weigh during pregnancy! normal weight gain is nothing during your first trimester (or up to 4 lbs water retention) and .8-1.2lbs each week after so at 29 weeks normal gain would be 12-22 lbs
hope this makes you feel better

He's right you shouldn't worry. The doctors can approximate how big the baby is by feeling your stomach and by any ultrasounds.I had a baby just 3 months ago and i didn't really show too bad until about 33 weeks. Then my belly just popped out. In fact nobody really knew i was pregnant until i told them. My baby was a perfect 7 lbs. Some women get big some don't. I'm sure all is fine. At your next ultrasound ask the technician how big the baby looks. She's measuring the baby's bones anyway so she'll have a good guesstimate.

Since you are so far along I can only assume that you have had ultrasound and other tests done. It may be largly in part to your body frame. If you are smaller framed it could be early in your pregnancy when you start showing. I if you are of medium build, as am I, it was about the 6-7 month mark when I really started showing good. Dont take these months for granted, and rest assured that your baby is just fine! You will get bigger week by week by week. before long you will not be able to see your toes and will wonder what in the heck has invaded your body!! And soon you will find it rather difficult to sit straight up for any length of time without leaning back. And oh my, shaving your legs becomes quite a challenge as well.

WOW!!!! I'm 29 wks as well, and have the same problem. How big do you look? My doc says I'm doing "awesome" too, and I've been gaining weight and my uterus is growing properly too. I asked him at my last appt. for another ultrasound and he agreed to put my mind at ease. It's the 1st of November, but I'm still worried that there's something wrong. He moves ALL the time, does yours??? I was small to begin with 5'6" 118pnds, I've gained 22pnds so far.....and have a longer torso too. I'm sure we're fine. Is this your first one too?? Why don't you e-mail me directly if you want melissadawnthigpen@yahoo.com. I have the yahoo e-mail blocked!! Talk to you soon!

Enjoy it! Once you start to show, you'll get "advice" from EVERYONE.
If it's your first pregnancy, you won't show as early, because your muscles are all a little tighter. If you're in really good shape, same thing - the muscles will just hold it all in a little more.
As long as the doctor says everything is fine, try to relax. And just think - less weight to lose after the baby arrives!! : )

It could be that you are either just a small person or the baby is just sitting farther back in your belly closer to your back than some babies. Not to worry everything will be fine, you will be surprised just how big your baby is when you got into labor...lol
Congratulations by the way

Is this your first baby? Some women just carry in a way that looks small. My sister went through nine months and never wore maternity clothes, just knit pants and sweat shirts

Relax. With my first one (a boy) there were people who didn't even know I was pregnant until I gave birth (to a healthy boy even though he was a little premature). I was just about 125 lbs. when I got pregnant and still barely showed.
Totally different story with my second one though (also a boy). I started showing early on.
