Yes indeed. Republicans who were once cozy with President Bush are distancing themselves from both the president and their party in campaign ads. Why? very simple! Look at Bush's rating>>>>around 36%. Who wants to align him or herself with an arrogant looser? Perhaps those smart Republicans finally just realized that it doesn't do them any good to keep denying the truth, as their Moron President does. Indirectly, those republicans are apologizing to the public for Bush's failing Policy, Psychologically speaking, and by doing that, they are sending a sense of a positive stimuli to the angry republican voters. In essence, they are promoting their position by attacking their own president. In this case, they feel it is worth the try to rewin the election.

Gosh! Some Republicans in Kansas switched over to the wrong side! It's the end! C'mon! How many could that possibly be? And what's so unusual about that? I know one registered Democrat who is really a Republican but because of his job and city politics, he's got to have the label. Specter is really a Democrat who became a Republican so he could run for DA in Philadelphia and the Democrats wouldn't put him up for it. It happens all the time.

Now, for the Republicans who are distancing themselves from Bush before the election, who can blame them? You people hate Bush with a passion I have never seen. I didn't even hate my last job that much and I really hated it! So, they distance themselves to get a few more votes because no real Democrat is going to vote for them just because their distancing themselves now, so it won't add up to much, but in some cases that might be enough. Then when they win in a couple of weeks, they go back to normal. It's called politics.

PS--You know at least one conservative who is pro choice, right?

You republicans are such hypocrites! you're nevertheless appearing via fact the earth fell off it extremely is axles via fact Clinton have been given a splash interior the White domicile, yet you do no longer care that the bush administration dealt with the form like it grew to become into rest room paper! They trampled on our rights, bumped off Habeus Corpus, tortured people and imprisoned people and held them with none trials! somebody pronounced that Obama is jealous of bush? Why? That fool bush tousled this united states that's pathetic, and he had to have a field on his lower back whilst he's in a debate so he did no longer sound like an fool!

Serious thought... Okay.

I dont know anyone that has jumped ship. Most of my friends are independant conservatives. You dont change your core beliefs because you disagree with the administration.

Anyone that has switched to a liberal agenda from a conservative agenda were never truly conservative anyway.

Conservatives are against abortion. Liberals are pro choice.
(This has nothing to do with the administration)
Conservatives do not look at desacrating the American flag as freedom of speech
Most liberals do look at this as freedom of speech.
(Nothing to do with the administration)
Conservatives promote lower taxes
Liberals support social programs that raise taxes
(Nothing to do with the administration)

I could go on all night but whats the point. I dont like everything that Bush does but my core conservative beliefs are left intact.

Maybe they are afraid of getting caught up in the Congressional investigations into dirty dealings by the Republican Party when the Democrats win the House next month.

It is an election year for many and they want to say and do anything they can to be re-elected instead of standing for their beliefs and supporting what might be the right thing. Insead they say what they think we want to hear.

BTW, I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat.

Who? I recall zell miller, a senior democrat, speaking at the republican national convention in support of republicans.

They have decided that stay the course is no longer an option. They know in their hearts that going to Iraq was the wrong road to follow. I welcome them to our side, we need to restore checks and balance to the country and return the constitution to its place in history.
