Infinity is an impossibly large number, eternity is an impossibly long time.

Eternity is an amount of time that is never-ending!

Infinity is a number beyond anything imaginable, and a bit more!..... But definitely a quantity, and not measurement of time!

Interestingly enough, there are many Infinities, but only one Eternity!..... Infinity can be seen as a big number, but consider dividing a line into two.... then four, then eight, etc, etc..... You could carry on Dividing to Infinity, but again consider one of the lines you first divided into two..... here you gop again!!!

I supose an Infinite amount of Time would be Eternity, but that's a whole new Ball game!

Infinity is a reference to either distance or numbers, e.g. "infinite monkeys with infinite type-writers will write the works of Shakespeare." or "There is a theory that space is infinite, and goes on for ever."
Eternity refers to time, e.g. "Some people think space is infinite, and if you could travel infinitely fast in one direction for eternity you would never get to the end".
Any help?

infinity means time without and end as well as eternity. But the two differs in spelling..hahahaha!!! Well honestly, infinity is used for numbers or time but eternity used for love, hatred etc...it is all about feelings.Feeling without an end...irristably , irrevocably, forever.

Eternity is a time reference - never ending time.

However infinity is more general. eg. there are an infinite number of possible alternatives and there are an infinite number of seconds in eternity

I think infinity is a measure of distance and eternity is a measure of time. It sounds good, anyway.

Eternity refers solely to time, whereas infinity can relate to all quantifiable values, i.e. space, number of pies etc :0)
