Hello Megan, I know how you feel. It depends on where you are located. If you are in the city (which i am assuming is where you are located) then this business has chosen to leave a flyer at each persons door step for advertisement reasons. And this is probably the only way that they most unfortunatly advertise. You can get a good collection of these and mail them back saying that you want them to stop putting the flyers at your door step, or take the collection to the place of business yourself and have a chat with the manager on duty saying that you want them to stop delivering the pamphlets. If asked why then just tell the manager that you are not that fond of Chinese foods as you are other types of dishes. Good luck.

It is one way companies/restaurants try to get more business. Instead of menus we get stuff for house siding and etc. We rent our place!

Anyway, I don't think there is much you can do about it except post a sign at your door saying NO SOLICITING NO FLYERS. Maybe that will help.

*With the no postage paid things I either shred them (some companies have your address already printed on them!) or I just put Christian tracts in them. (^__^)v

**Also with preapproved credit card things and for cell phones offer there is a new notice that tells you that you can opt out of these pre approval things. Next time you get unwanted credit card things look at the bottom of the letter. There should be a 1-800 number or a website to where you can opt out for 5 years or for all eternity if you send in paper work. I personally got tired of Capital One sending me things. I sent for the 5 year opt out. Those people were checking my credit score atleast 3 times a month and my free credit check showed each and every time they looked and the date it was done on!!

I've heard that many people are doing that with junk mail. There's a website you can use to reduce the amount of junk mail you get. It puts you on a "do not mail" list:
https://www.dmaconsumers.org/cgi/offmailing

As far as those ANNOYING Chinese food menus that wind up in your door (I hate them too) you can either post a no soliciting/no trespassing sign on your lawn or tell them not to put that stuff at your door. When you get one, bring it back. Tell them someone put it on your door and you'd like to return it. Maybe if enough people do that, they might get the hint!

Your apartment community or neighborhood association should have a no solicitation policy. Report the menu solicitation to them.

I heard of a woman who would take those postage paid envelopes that you get with credit card applications, and she'd fill them up with egg shells, dirty paper towels, and dry coffee grounds. Then she'd mail them back to the company with the following note:

"You sent me your garbage, and now I'm sending you mine."
