How do u get the collar on the pet on the SIMS 2 PETS?

I BOUGHT A CAT IN ONE OF THE PETS STORES AND BOUGHT A FEW COLLARS SEPERATLY, AND NOW I CAN'T FIND THE COLLARS THAT I BOUGHT. HOW DO I GET THE COLLARS ON THE PET AND WHERE DO I FIND THE COLLARS I PURCHASED?

Check your inventory, take it out of there and click on it when on your sims see if it says put on cat or something like that. I love that game. Its awesome. need more help or info e-mail through yahoo answers.

They may be in the place where the pictures you take from the photobooth. that's the only place i could think they are.
