Thats interesting, I have never ever heard anyone pronounce 'tiger' as 'tagger'.
I know there is 'tigger' off winnie the pooh - pronounced t, i, double 'gg', 'rrrrr' lol

I've never ever heard anyone say "Tagger" but IF (and when) they do, they may be from the southern United States.
I have heard (and myself have said) "Tigg-er" (the "tig" rhymes with ig as in ignore). That's thanks to A.A. Milne and Winnie-the-Pooh.

then you're not from Pittsburgh. In that town, Tiger is pronounced "Tagger" - I even named my cat "Tagger" cuz it's funny n'at.

i dont know what kind of backwoods redneck hick town you live in, but i've never heard "tiger" pronounced as "tagger" in my life.
