I recently died my hair red (a deep dark red) and I'm at a loss for costume ideas. Any suggestions? Anyone know any good costume ideas for a red-head with short hair? (if my hair was longer i know it would be easier)

Love your ideas! And I know about the sluttiness and being 16, don't mix well. How about dressing like a man. Or better yet, how about dressing like the Big Bad Wolf dressed as Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother? How about instead of a pumpkin you dress as an apple maybe? Hope this Helps! I have short, red-dyed hair that I have had forever!! I suggest you can be whatever you want. If you are not happy with using your fabulous hair, wear a wig. I've done both in the past.

I've been Peter Pan, but I've also gone as a fairy (I sprayed my hair white for this one); wigged character have been a fortune-telling gypsy and a Vulcan.

You could even go as Lucy Arnez (I Love Lucy). Too Cute!

Be whatever you want, just figure out how to work it! This year is a witch year for me!

I have the same problem (my hair is short too, not like my avatar), but I think red hair is perfect for Halloween. You can be a cat-woman or devil, or even Tinkerbell or Peter Pan. Red-headed look perfect in green. Have fun!

Traditionally, red hair was associated with witches. Because it was so rare, it was said to be "of the devil"

I personally think you can wear anything you want with red hair. www.halloweenforum.com has a ton of creative ideas.

Be a season!( Wear you fav. oufit from whatever season & draw things on body that remind you of that season (snow flakes, leafs, flowers, water) & do your make up appropietly)
Be a clown! (Wear the most hidious oufit you can put together & do clown makeup)
Be a gramma! ( dress up in what you think your grandma would wear) with a wig of corse.
Be a baby! ( go buy & wear an adult diper. Carry a bottle or rattle. Wear a bonet, carry a blanky or teady bear) get a bald head wig.
Be sick! (use an eyliner pencil to make spots, wear your palest foundation, draw undereye bags w/ blue& gray eyeshadow. Wear your comphyest oufit,a robe, a pair of slipers, & stick a thermomiter in your mouth)\

I think that if you were to be a fairy or an elfin princess, that would look great.
How about a pirate or a wench?
Or the character Molly Ringwald played in "Pretty in Pink"? That could be fun, doing an oddball 80's movie character!
