I understand they have been having issues with young people hanging out in groups causing trouble, not buying anything, and scaring paying customers away. BUT it seems a little extreme to punish everyone for the actions of the troublemakers. I'm not sure how this would be anymore effective than hiring more security and chasing off the troublemakers with loitering laws. I might find it more sensible if it were ages 15 & under because kids that age don't need to be running around on a weekend night unsupervised. But where is the sense in telling 16 & 17 year olds they can't go on a date to the movies or Gameworks or just shopping as long as they behave.

They will have to hire extra people to enforce the regulation so why not just enforce it against those that need to leave. Cite them and if they rack up more than 5 citations, they can be banned from the premises and removed on sight without cause. If the kids want to protest, all they have to do is all refuse to leave and have a sit-in every weekend. The police can only do so much especially on a weekend when there are more pressing emergencies to which to attend.

I am in my thirties and the mom of a 5-year-old. We do not go to AZ Mills often even though it is close because for us it is Too Big (too far to walk around) and too crowded (my problems are generally with obnoxious adults & their uncontrolled children running us down not the teenagers). So this will in no way encourage us to come more. I am personally tired of seeing people take the easy way out by punishing everyone instead of making a real effort to handle the problem people.

Sounds like too many parents have been using the mall as a babysitter. If the mall is making you leave, find a new place to hang out. Something else, if you don't like the policy, you and your friends should not go there anymore. Vote with your feet. After they miss your dollars, they will probably change the curfew.

I went with some friends not expecting much. The lines were long and I considered leaving. I'm glad I waited around! It was surprisingly large and although a bit crowded I didn't feel rushed. You can take your time viewing the many different tanks and pet the star fish (: It's a great place to bring the family or just casually walk around to kill some time. I'll go again considering it's much closer than the one in Litchfield!

Hooray!

Actually, you are not entirely correct. Persons under 18 are welcome as long as they are with an adult.
