My in-laws have rental houses, one tenant got kicked out and decided to throw hot sauce all over the carpets in the entire house. Is this a total loss?? Help!

Hi
I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time to remove the residue. If the stain is still visible than use a little carpet spotter on it. The stain may come back in a few days so you may have to do this a few times. Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet. At this point if the stain is still there please call a carpet cleaner. What I have suggested will not lock the stain in.

First I would test a piece of your carpet before attempting to clean it. Take oxicleaner spray and spray on the carpet let set for a few minutes then blot up with a paper towel and repeat this if it doesn`t come out. This product is very good and another one I use all the time is resolve in a red plastic bottle and it probably would take it out. Good Luck!

Wow..I was gonna say baby wipes..but that's alot of babywipes and alot of work..You could try using oxy clean in your carpet cleaner and see if that will get it out or not..
