I think boxers, boxer-briefs, crew socks, and the plaid p.j.s are ok, but I'd think you should just wear the bottoms and no shirt or the bottoms and a tank top or t-shirt but if it comes with a top that's plaid to don't wear that.
Don't wear tube socks and long johns unless you live someplace really really cold like Alaska. And just completley throw out any tighty whities you might have.

Whatever you feel comfortable in, but I wouldn't wear anything resembling "speedos", or - you know, anything too tight. That's really not cool. Boxers are always fine. Long Johns if you're living in a really cold place, P.J.'s, but always a plain colour, like Inspector Clouseau, sorry, but plaid is tacky. Crews and tubes are both fine for socks. Good for a bit of variety.

Pj's - At home only, not even to sneek to the store.
Tighty whities - you better be damn hot to pull that off
Boxers - "Let my people go"
Boxer briefs - Comfort and support
Crew socks - Entry level kinda guy
Tube socks - My dad
Long johns - Only if you're in a 1950's christmas movie

Briefs are fine, they give support
Boxers are considered "cool" by a lot of people - but they give NO support
Boxerbriefs are the best of both worlds
Hanes socks are not that great. Wear ankle socks always
Long Johns are unnecessary. Seriously, I know. Unless you live in antartica you do not need them
Plaid is cool.

I like boxer briefs myself. Tube socks I think is pretty tricky, though the Chili Peppers pulled it off (or kept it from coming off, rather) somehow...

I consider by under ware a choice.I make the choice according with person I am with at the time. Sometimes very sexy,other times utilitarian,while alone I want to breath.

I think you should wear the PJs w/ the feet attached - and the butt flap... Yeah, sexy.
