Comet Tails, Shubunkins, Sunfish, Ryukin Veiltails (which come in a variation of colors), Pearlscales, Red-Cap Orandas, Lionheads can all be put with goldfish. Paradise Fish which have the most beautiful colors can also be put with goldfish, but i've been advised against it as paradise fish tend to get aggressive towards other fish and males are aggressive towards each other. Good luck

Judy gave you one fish. Others can be found at your local pet store, but VERY few are suitable for any but the largest tanks (better for ponds). It is best to keep goldfish with goldfish really. You can put them in a heated tank and add about anything that is non-aggressive, but the warmer the water the more of a mess goldfish make!

Whiteclouds will work, but even a fairly small goldfish would be big enough to eat them. If the tank is warm enough for a betta then that will work too. Bettas are really only a threat to other bettas most of the time, although they tend to go after related species and fancy male guppies fairly predictably. An apple snail will also usually be fine with a goldfish.

I highly suggest that you do NOT look to ANY-Mart for expert fish keeping advice. It is very rare that there is a qualified or experienced fish keeper on duty. Always cross check the advice and information you are given at one store with at least one other store. When I was still learning, and even now that I know the answers, I ask questions every time I am in a store. You need to know if you can trust the advice you are given, and until you have your own experience to draw on the only way you can do that is to compare answers from more than one person.

Best advice, stick to gold fish with gold fish unless you have a 100gal+ tank or an outdoor pond. Good luck!

The only fish that can go with gold fish are other cold water fish. If you put a heater in your tank you will kill your gold fish. Gold fish need temps no more than 65 degrees where fresh water tropical need temps of 72 to 78 degrees. You could add black moores, calicos (another gold fish) fan tails, white clouds although because they are small some gold fish may eat them if they get large, an algae eater (not a plecostomos), Koi (japanese goldfish). Thats about it.

White Cloud Mountain Minnows can live in cold water like goldfish, but you'll need to really keep up with water changes as the minnows are more sensitive to ammonia and goldfish excrete a ton of it. Also, if your goldfish are large enough, the minnows will get eaten. Mollies need a little bit of salt, and need warmer water so they will not survive long in a goldfish tank. Generally, goldfish tanks need to be species specific.

a weather loach (dojo)- an eel shaped fish about 5 inches long that can tolerate cold water. Called weather loach because supposedly it swims around a lot when the barometer changes.

Yes you can put any community natured fish with goldfish, such as guppies. You can even put a beta fish as long as it is the only one of it's kind.
