My right to a writ of Habias Corpus. All other rights are contingent on that. I wish the repuglicans would get this one. By giving this up in the Military Bill, it can and probably will lead to abuse's. If not by this president then maybe the next. This may be the worst thing that Bush and Congress has done since he has been president. Even worse then taking us to war based on a lie, has been lieing to us all along and should be tried as a war criminal. Yes, that is the one right that is the worst to give up.

Republicans have already given away our habeas corpus rights as well as our rights against unreasonable search and seizure.
Anyone who votes Republican and doesn't give those rights as an answer to your question is a liar or doesn't pay attention to what's going on, because many republicans on this site have argued that those rights are not more important than catching terrorists.
I would give up my right to bear arms, but only temporarily.

Your rights are too important to give up. People fought and died to get you them in the first place. Allowing the Government to use fear to take them away again is a betrayal of all those sacrifices over the centuries.

Let's see, that would the right to bear arms, free speech, freedom of the press, right to practice my religion, right to peaceful gathering, not be discriminated on the basis of my race, ethnicity, sex, religion, or disability, the right to a fair trial, and the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty are the ones to choose from.
OH WAIT, they are already taken away!

I had a similar question (just similar) in high school. The answe I gave was freedom of speech. Although, now days, I think if people ever had to give up a right, it would probably be the Freedom Of Choice.

sorry I don't want to give up any. If I give up one I give up all and you can put daisies on the dirt that is over me.

When you give up one, you give up all, as they are supportive of one another, and fall as dominoes when compromised.

To shoot someone breaking into my house, I would rather beat them until just the second before death, then let them live so they can learn not to do it again.....
