I would venture to say there are more that are legit than not, though there are plenty that aren't.

To be sure if it is legit, start your own web based business. Get this Google anounced that their quarterly profits were over 1 billion dollars. (1 point something) So why not consider getting your own piece of the pie with a content based website and use Adsense to create an income.
