Definately, fish do not have eyelids, weird, huh? But if you watch your fish when it's close to their 'bed time' you will see that they 'sink' to the bottom and remain there motionless, it looks like they're dead, but they're not. Unless they're bellies are up. But yes, they sleep.

They most certainly do. If you have a tank, go to it about an hour or two after you turn the lights off for the night. Take a flashlight and shine it on the bottom of the tank.. all the fish will be laying on the bottom, passed out!

I have a saltwater tank and have noticed that my fish even change to a lighter color and float in one place. Once you turn on the light they wake right up!

yes but with there eyes open or if they are laying on the bottom of the tank they are not always sick or dieing they could be a sleep

Sure! Every living creatures sleeps..or rest ! They just do it in differant ways. Some even with their eyes open!

Yes, they do not thrive on air and do not need to come up from underwater to get it. They take the oxygen from underwater and use that. They stay totally emerged underwater and sleep like that.

yep with their eyes open, Watch fish in an aquarium they tend to lie on the floor of the aquarium motionless.
