Kids, as always, are just going along with whatever is "happening." Unfortunately, this time they have somehow become mesmerized by a corruptive subculture that downplays talent in favor of foolishness.
I wish I could say that it's only music but there's so much more at stake here. Hard to believe some still listen to this stuff past their twenties. Don't people grow up anymore?
Fortunately, just in the past year, I have noticed trends which suggest that this style may be on it's way out. Personally, I feel the style peaked during it's first five years ('79 to '84). After that, it had nowhere to go but down, down, down!
Anyway, the kids really need to find some individuality and stop following the crowd so much if they are to amount to anything later.

the reason why youngsters want to be like rappers today because they want to live that same lifestyle. Everything they see on tv they want to be cause it looks glamorous. All the cars, clothes, women, big houses, and the jewlery is what they want. but they dont understand that it takes hard work in the the real life to have all these things. tv and the media makes thngs look easier than it really is.

Yeah, I think the younger and/or more impressionable a kid is, the more likely they are to be interested in something like this. Kids are by nature attracted to colorful characters, but the sad thing is, they don't originally know the evils and dangers of violence and the crime that is sometimes associated with rappers.

Rap is as inspiring as watching grass improve. (for me) yet some human beings like what they pay attention. Its consumer-friendly as quickly as we get into hassle to indicate the finger at an artist and say he prompted me. yet whilst all is declared and carried out, its the guy no longer the artist who's in charge for his strikes. What i do no longer comprehend is why somebody residing a tricky existence could help somebody who talks approximately their tricky existence on an identical time as accumulating thousands and thousands for his communicate. Its a pity, different than for purely some, no longer a lot of those human beings, who've used human beings in hassle as a concern of their cloth, and so earn a sturdy residing, yet they do no longer pass decrease back and help those human beings purely somewhat.

Its commericalized "music" crammed down people's throats the media and radio companies. The spoon feed enough crap and tell you its good, pretty soon you belive it (well, I don't)

Rap is horrible -- most of it anyway. (Some Old school stuff is ok)
