I am gonna have a trip to Vegas (Jan 4 - Jan 12). I will order a good hotel for the first two days but then prices go up and I do not want to spend so much. Is it possible to find vacant rooms in usual motels near LV and Grand Canyon? Is it difficult to park cars in LV if you stay in motel near city? Can I use cash to pay for motels. May be somebody knows or have such expirience. Thanks for help!

yes, you can find hotel deals by going directly to a hotel's web site to reserve a room. You might have to reserve your room with a credit card and then pay cash when you arrive. Most Hotels have their own parking garages for your car. I found good deals at Circus Circus when I booked on line, the rooms were decent. Your only in your room to sleep anyways. I drove there and parking was free in their parking garage. As for the Grand Canyon, I worked at their hotels. There are hotels inside and outside the park gates. If you want to be inside the park next to the actual Canyon you need to stay at Xanterra's Lodges. Its the only company that has hotels inside the park. The most expensive is El Tevor, then Bright Angel. Those are both on the rim overlooking the canyon. For less expensive ones in the park are Maswik and another one (the name slipped my mind) If you don't mind staying out of the park gates you can find even cheaper hotels. It's the winter and the rates should be low at both places. Expect Snow! But it's worth the trip it's beautiful there. The snow makes it so pretty. it's also only a four hour drive from Los Vegas. Hope that helps, Have fun!

Most hotels will let you pay with cash, but will either want a CC or a cash deposit...Parking you car should not be a problem...If you don't mind staying in a dump(?) http://www.travelworm.com has the "Western" for an average of $28.50 from the 4th-12th or "Vegas Club" and "Four Queens" for an average of $52 they are much nicer than the Western...

A few of the places that are generally a good value include, Orleans,Palace or Boulder Station,Main Street Station & Sam's Town in that order..you can check out another travel site "i4vegas" at http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com .
