I'm not saying that only white people are racist .there's racist in all colour. And i'm not asking about any other religion because .I don't know anything about anther religion...But i keep seeing questions saying things like this a christian country .then go on to put down and insult black people jews and muslims .My point is this christianity is base on jesus christ .And jesus coming from where he came from would of been dark skinned arab looking .And he was a jew .How can some one claiming to be christian be racist .Be racist against any one of dark skin arab looking or a jew .Surely you got to be racist against jesus aswell

Okay finally i get to address something very important! Not everyone that goes to church is a Christian, not everyone that believes in God is a Christian, Not Everyone that has a bible or even wears a cross is a christian. A lot of people profess to be many things and a Christian is on the top of their list. If you are saved by the grace of God and has said the sinners prayer and has been born again or baptized you are known to be a CHRISTIAN. Going to church sunday after sunday doesn't make you a christian. So it all depends on the life these people live and how they live it. Following God's commandments and walking in his will and his way along with being born again is known as a Christian. Going to church doesn't save you, being baptized doesn't save you either however being baptized is making a strong commitment to God to let him know that you are a follower and a believer. It's the first step of your walk as a Christian. When you believe in your heart and profess with your mouth you are a christian. Not all Christians do the right thing because we all fall short and sin. But no one is perfect, we were all born in sin and shaped in iniquity, the only person that is holier than thou is Jesus! We sin everyday but it is our responsibility to ask for forgiveness and to ask God to wash us and start over again. That's why he is there, we fall down but we get because a saint is a sinner who fell down but got up.

i don't call myself a christian,
and there are so many type's of racism about these days
i don't think it's about black and white anymore. it's more about the shite that come's through the tunnel day after day and claiming poverty they are the scum.
And also the soppy Muslims who don't seem to give a **** about know one.
only themselves they think they are going to a better place yeah they might be but in a million pieces.and there ain't no god either cause if there woz he wouldn't let half the crap go on that we have to face in this third world country of ours. because we as the English man and women will soon be pushed out by all the people that Blair and all the Tory do gooders keep letting in????

You are right.
St. Paul wrote:
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)
He was writing against this kind of discriminative thinking, against Jews considering themselves better Christians (he only refers to Christian converts here) because coming from God's chosen nation, against free men considering themselves above slaves, and against men considering themselves above women. Race was not an issue then, but if it were, he would have written about that too.

We might suppose, then, that because St. Paul only wrote about equality in Christ, it is OK to discriminate against non-Christians? But who are we to judge? Perhaps tomorrow they will become the most fervent faithful, and we will lose our faith.

One of the most ancient portraits of Christ (a holy icon) from Mount Sinai, 6th century:

The dark colour is not very obvious (He was probably much darker), but He is definitely not blond.
Another one, Greek, from Mount Athos,13th century:

who says they are Christians, I'm not a racist but I'm white and an atheist. Although I'm not religious i notice there is a lot of christian bashing on here. WHO CARES what religion someone is, it's up to the individual to make their mind up what they believe.

Its only a problem when they start ramming it down everyone Else's throat.

I agree with you about Jesus though, son of god or very wise man he was from the middle east, do people think he was white? My 8 year old son does, but then he thinks thunder is elephants falling out of bed.

Agreed. Christianity and Bigotry really do not go together. Jesus was about love and acceptance.

Good question. Look at the slaveholders, though... They were more "pious" than anybody. They justify it somehow in their twisted minds.
