There is a limit to the amount of urine you can drink, but I do not know the approximate amount. I'm not sure this experiment has ever been done. Yes urine in sterile right when it comes our of the body, but it can become contaminated with bacteria or may have bacteria present already if you have a urinary tract infection. The most important factor is not whether urine is sterile, but what the ingredients are. Urine is waste from your body. Everything you don't need is filtered through your kidneys and collects as urine. The body didn't need or want these substances for a reason, so you it can be harmful to ingest urine. You are practically ingesting your bodies own waste, and gaining little nutritional value. It's like asking the question "Is it dangerous to eat your poop and how much can you consume." Does that example make the answer a little more clear? Read it again and see how silly it sounds. Yes urine is bad.

I guess it depends on what do the person that produces the urine eats and drinks. If it is urine from an alcoholic or drug adict I guess it is unsafe and dangerous. Otherwise, I have heard from some naturist advisors that it might be healthy.
I would not try it anyway.

I don't know if there is a limit or not. But I know a long time ago, doctors used to dip their fingers in people's urine samples to test for diabetes. Funky huh?

urine from humans is sterile. you can use it as antiseptic when there is nothing else to use. you can drink it if you were stranded and had no other source of water around to keep from being dehydrated, its found in some hand creams (urea, uric acid)
