It has been proven that marijuana has numerous medicinal benefits. I suffer from migraines - if I could take it (it doesn't have to be smoked) rather than being injected with a narcotic, you bet I'd do it.

Talk to a cop - how many domestic violence calls do they go on due to someone being stoned as opposed to being drunk? Or vehicle accidents?

It's like anything else. You can have a drink, or be a drunk. You could smoke a joint, or be a stoner. You could use it intelligently or be stupid.

Yes, if it were legal I would use it, but I'm too much of a control freak to abuse it.

And yes, I'd rather wait for it to be legal, having never been to jail, the price for using it is a bit steep (and I'm not talking money)

There are social and moral issues here. If marijuana were legal and if there was proof that there were less side affects than say alcohol. I may try it. I would want a full description of the affects bothy mental and physical first and an antidote avalible

It's more likely that I would CONSIDER it.

It would depend on the "social acceptance" and if jobs still drug tested, insurance rates fluctuated based on it.

It it were a perfectly legal and moral form of recreation (like alcohol is when consumed by people of age and not driving around with a beer in their hand) then I might be likely to try something new, just as I might try a new beer or type of sushi.

I would on an occasion. Getting into the habit of it starts taking over yourself and your life, but every now and again I get in the mood for it. I avoid it now because it is illegal. I used to not care, but then I realized that whether I like it or not, the law right now says it's illegal, and God's not really down with disobeying the law, even if I think it's stupid :)

As I'm asthmatic and cannot really cope with tobacco smoke, I don't think I would be able to smoke cannabis either, unless you can prove that it could help my condition

and I don't mean being so stoned that I couldn't care!

Also it would make my epilepsy worse.

nah... clouds your thinking, and though it may highten the creativity of others it can still destroy so many lives. If it weren't for some friends losing everything just for their next high or taking risks because they were zooted I may have said sure but I've seen the effects and would rather pass lol...well actually not so funny when you think about it.

Well, I can think of one thing it causes and that is lung problems. I know, so do cigarettes. But, I choose not to because I want healthy lungs and I already went through my stupidity stage when I was younger.

No. Mj makes people lazy and unproductive. I am totally worthless after smoking until I sleep it off. After that I don't have any ambition to do anything.

Nah...if I want to smoke it now, I could. It doesn't really do that much for me, so I don't. But I DO think it should be legalized.
