I sometimes get sharp pains in my chest when I breath too deeply or just when I am relaxing. I am 14 and I eat very healthy for my age. Has anyone ever experienced this or know what this could be?

Same for me so it just might be normal. But if it gets to serious you might want to go see your doctor.

I had similar pains at 13. Turned out I had such a bad case of acid reflux and needed minor surgery. Chest pains can be caused by many things. Go to the doctor.

i have had the same problem all my life. i get really sharp pains in my chest and sometimes my ribs. it hurts to breathe in too deep or out too deep. the only way i have figured out to get rid of them is to take a breath while bending over. i have asked many doctors what this is and no one knows. my mom told me once that it might be blood flowing through my ribs too fast, but i don't know how much truth there is in that.

Go to the ER ,chest pain should be evaluated immediatly. It can be anything from gas to heart attack. These problems strike young and old, healthy or obese. Call by phone and get evaluated by a nurse asap!

those are growing pains, nothing to worry about. I got them really bad when I was younger. Especially if you're eating very healthily- that could signal a growth spurt on the way. Don't worry!

My son complained about them a lot when he was young. The doc checked him out and said it was normal. I remember having them as well.
