PS
This aint being ignorant, I know what goes on in the world I'm just sick of hearing it hour after hour.
The theory goes that bad news scares us all into worshipping our governments to "save" us.
It's the oldest trick in the book people!

right on! I'd love to hear more instances of kittens being rescued from trees! Seriously, yea, a good news channel sounds refreshing. Its useful to hear the "regular" news at times, but the "anti-news" sound like a something I'd tune into regularly. I could be your weather girl! (we'd only talk about the states with 70-78 degrees temperature and no chance of rain)

Ab - so -f u c k i n - lutely!

I want to hear good things on the news - I am sick to the back teeth of hearing about war/violence/murder/crime rates and all the s h i t that goes with it!

If i could watch a serious new programme that delivered 'happy' news, with no malace and pure interesting facts, I would be tuned to it 24-7!

Negative news is nothing new. However, stations hype negative news for ratings.

If you want fair reporting, and don't want to be ignorant, check out the New York Times.

Ignorance is bliss, but don't blame your leaders on taking actions in which you know nothing about. You can know about the world without being saddened.

thats like living in a box where everyinthing is bright and shiney....

HOLLYWOOD perhaps?

If that was the case and you lived in the bubble then who would you become? a person that can't indentify with the real world.

Or maybe you're actually onto something here, there is a market for a channel that provides "happy FM"

Wanna go into business? I'll send you my CV.........

Yes I would and wouldn't that be refreshing.Sometimes I just cannot read the paper through because it makes me sick. What people are doing to each other is disgusting. We behave worse then animals.

yes definetly.
why always the bad news ? really - serious question. why do we have some desire to hear all the bad sh1t.
maybe we like to hear about serious bad stuff so that we are forwarned - but what about all the really bland pointless negative sh1t that gets broadcast. theres lots of it.
we need a ying to the neg shiit yang.

Oh yes, i would love it. But saying that, i would still have to listen to the 'doom and gloom' news (even though i hate it), else i wouldn't know what was going on in the world around me.

It would be great. I would watch it. Maybe it would help people integrate better too. If we made friends with other cultures and understood them we would fear them less, and them us. My only problem would be constant offenders. Maybe we should tattoo them. That would make them think twice about offending.

YES! I never watch the 'doom and gloom show' but that would certainly be something to look forward to every day.
