I think that mankind is most likely going to bring the destruction of at least the environment about. That would of course end up destroying mankind anyway, but it is also very likely that another major war will erupt and we will all blow ourselves up. BUt I figure eventually we are gonners anyway, at least in Australia as I was watching a documentary on a volcano that is not that far from Australia, they have said that if it erupts it will have a major impact on Australia as crops will fail and the air will be destroyed causing people to die. Apparently the volcano is overdue for an eruption so sooner or later it will happen and you cannot do much about nature. I can imagine John Howard sending a delegation to the volcano for talks. Asking it if it would refrain from erupting as it would be bad relations with Australia if it did.

Yes they are, because mankind is imperfect because of Adam and Eves sin, but god will not let that happen. Read Daniel 2:44 in the bible.

Mankinds desire is to live. We see it everywhere, people in desperate situations can succumb to the most deplorable acts. Cannibalism, sacrificing a member of a group to survive it has all been accounted for in the past.
Along with this desire to live by any means, is another desire to protect one self's groups own interests, at the expense of others. The human race is split along group lines. Humans dint exist as humans they are either Americans, Africans or dare I say it Muslims. From this division of groups humans are always in the process of trying to improve the welfare of their own group, irrespective of other individuals feelings.
These two drives of humanity, the desire to survive and the will to improve one self group lead to the killing of other human beings leads to the endless killings of humanity. Whether it leads to total destruction or partial destruction I believe is mainly down to luck.

No, mankind is not destined to destroy itself.
That does not mean that one among us would not choose to attempt it, but from my search, I have found that we are destined to learn from our mistakes and relearn if needed, then as we become better, nicer, closer to God, we expand our knowledge and in turn move and stay closer to God, and in turn keep expanding our knowledge.
We are destined to return to God in untold millenium.

man will not commit suicide as a race,at worst a few small pocket will cling to their desolate surroundings, possibly in caves ,or remote islands, perhaps high in the mountains, in nooks and crannies, but man will survive....the meek SHALL inherit the earth.

We would, but God won't let us completely succeed. Read Revelation. It is confusing, I know, but answers to this question are there. If you don't believe in God, don't blame you for feeling hopeless...
