I love mystery novels, and my favorite author is James Patterson. I'm currently awaiting his new novel, "Cross," the last book in his Alex Cross series; it's slated for release in November. If you name one of his books, I've probably read it. If you want to read Alex Cross novels, the first book you should start at is "Along Came A Spider" (which was made into a movie) and continue from there. James is fantastic and certainly knows how to keep your interest going from page 1 to the end. For a complete list of his novels, visit http://www.jamespatterson.com/
I also recommend Nicholas Sparks if you love romance, and Stephen King if you love horror and suspense. Nicholas's novels, "The Notebook," "A Walk to Remember," and "Message In a Bottle," have all been made into award-winning films. For a complete list of his works, visit http://www.nicholassparks.com/
Stephen King writes horror novels. Many of his books, such as "Dreamcatcher," "The Shining," and "Carrie" have been made into films. His works are known to be gory and gruesome, especially "Dreamcatcher." For a complete list of his works, visithttp://www.stephenking.com/

I'm sorry I can't give you all of the authors, so I'll just say that I read a lot of history from all over the world, political, and self-help books.

Read "the Crimson Petal & The White" by Michel Faber, published by Canongate Books of Edinburgh (Scotland). It's beautifully written and very well structured, so if you like learning English by reading the language a lot, it's a great place (and a very good read) to start.

I like True Crime Stories and there is no specific author for them. I do like the Author Anne Rule too though. It just depends on what you like to read.

I like fun, imaginative stuff:
Anne Rice, The Vampire Chronicles.
Laurel K Hamilton, The Anita Blake series.

I also like reading astrology books written by Linda Goodman. Her best is Star Signs.

I like Stephen King... Well, actually, I LOVED his books for a while they're great but fed the darkness in me... haha... Firestarter, Misery, Christine, and The Dark Tower Series are great...
Well, I also like the Artemis Fowl series... The author of them is Eion Colfer of Colier...
A Series of Unfortunate Events is whacky and out there, but it's a great read! Just read the books in order...

Stephen King, without a doubt. Love his creepy, scary stories. Try reading Nightmares and Dreamscapes for a variety of his short stories or the novels The Stand or Desperation, my favorites.
