HABITANT >>> "they are playing very good hockey as of now, but remember their second game they almost lost to the Habs and the Sabres scored with 15 seconds left in the game." <<<
How many more times do we have to read this? Get over it. It is not like the NFL where one team can win without the other touching the ball. The HABS had the same 4:45 and plenty of opportunities to score a goal.

Anyway... The Sabres are doing well and I hope it continues to get them in the playoffs and deep within them as well.
They will have their losses and losing streaks. Lets hope they have less then other teams in their division.
Go Sabres!

Probably they will. Everything is strong about the Sabres, as far as I see it. And they have the reserves as they mentioned tonight. They're also playing real hockey. It's exciting to watch. Last year it could have played out between Buffalo and Edmonton. This year, probably Buffalo will at least take the Eastern Conference. Teams that could beat them - Dallas, Edmonton and possibly Carolina if they pull out of their tail-spin. (I'm a Devils fan).
The Flyers deserved that humiliation they suffered a few days ago. Bobby Clark's style (disabled Harlamov) shows in the management, to the choice of players, to their tactics. The Flyers are a goon squad and do not deserve to even make it to the play offs. Then maybe they will also lose Gagne and Forsberg (as they deserve to do).
I would like to see Buffalo win the cup this year. They deserve it.

It's still early in the season but they are doing well. If they can keep it up they have a good chance. Just hope they don't pull a 'Red Wings'--have a great regular season then fall apart when it really counts--during the playoffs.

they are playing very good hockey as of now, but remember their second game they almost lost to the Habs and the Sabres scored with 15 seconds left in the game. and 3 of there wins are in shootouts don't forget.
remember this is hockey not other sports where you can predict who has a good chance at winning the cup, cause hockey is the hardest sport in the world to win a championship cause when it comes to playoffs everybody steps up there game and its all at war.
jujubah_0...>>>>> I'm saying this because of all the cocky Sabres fans that are talking Stanley cup, it just a reminder, i know most of them are bandwagon fans or just little kids but I'm just letting them know that its only been two weeks and that doesn't mean nothing in hockey.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know. Pittsburgh is looking real strong in the division right now. Hopefully they won't break down, but I'm calling Pitt v NJ for the East and Dallas v Anaheim for the West. Overall, I'm calling Dal 4 v Pitt 3 in the finals.

Looking at the teams right now, it's between Buffalo & San Jose...Even though I'd like to see Minnesota win it all!

i disagree, not becuase i hate the sbares or anything (i don't), i just think they're not really good enough to win. ducks and sharks stand a good chance. and with niitymaki as a goalie, the flyers stand a good chance as well. still hope for a miracle though, hope the leafs will win the cup this time, but i don't think so :(
