Post Script - to add additional thoughts to the letter.
There is also P.P.S. but if you have to go to PPPS, you should rewrite the thing!

Like everyone has already answered, it does mean "post script". After the letter if you need to add something you left out by mistake, write p.s. and then include the information. If you need to add more, write p.p.s and put the additional information here. Notice it is P.P.S and not P.S.S, many people (young people especially) get this confused, but think about it. You wouldn't write post script script, now would you? Therefore, p.p.s means post, post script and so on.

It means post script. Meaning that whoever wrote the letter, forgot to add something in the main body of the letter, that they wanted the letter reader to know.
