why isnt my AIM working?

i press sign on and it goes to the "connecting..." screen and does nothing, it stays like that forever

Where do you live? If its raining out your internet company may be down from the storm. If not, it may just be down anyways. If youv already shut down and re started your computer than this is probably the issue, and if thats the case you just have to wait it out. : /

It must be broken, try restarting that computer and see what happens, Good Luck
