Ghosts cannot eat, in fact they do not eat. Why waste money on food that is going to be left cold. Why not invite the old lady from next door and cheer up her Christmas. After all they are on a shite pension and they would appreciate the company.

I did have a ghost in a house I previously lived in.
It was a noisy prankster especially late at night when it had free rein to run around. And after returning from weekend trips where it had had the house to itself for 3 days it would get especially disruptive...trying to scare us away again.
I would never invite it to sit and eat although it probably was sitting at the table with us without our knowledge.

I would not invite him for Christmas lunch, but I would ask him why was he there? What did he want? And how I could help him to leave this earth?

i think that ghosts are all around us but we aren't tuned to them and so don't realize it. i think thay you should not go looking for trouble with ghosts and spirits and definately not take the piss. you never know when a freak accident can hit you. so ,no, i don't think you should invite a ghost to christmas lunch but you can invite it to stay with you.

You should invite them to all the meals, not just Christmas lunch. It's a sign of respect for the departed.

How do you know that this ghost is not a demon And is it wise to invite something that is dead to reside with the rest of your family. Even if it appears mind you appears to be harmless.

Christmas dinner would be the last thing I would be thinking of - I would want to really ask him a lot of questions about why he or she is here and gain an understanding of the what it is like to be on the other side.
