They've never been unwelcome. Just because we don't agree with their politics, it doesn't mean they weren't welcom in the US for a visit. They have a whole lot more problems right now. Again it's due to their politics. You'd think they would learn.

Never knew they were unwelcome, but when I was in France a few years ago the Americans were unwelcome......you should have heard some of the things they said when they didn't know you could understand French!

Who told you they were unwelcome? In point of historical fact, they're one of the reasons we cared enough to fight the Nazis in WW2. We helped them, and while we did, they helped our men.

Some people have seen Private Ryan, and that's all they know. Some people have known the people involved in that war, the real life soldiers, and as a result we know the stories secondhand, not fifthhand through Hollywood. That makes us take our WW2 alliances from that time as sacred, not subject to fickle politically fashionable turning our back on.

Get to know an 80 year old WW2 vet, and ask him what his opinion is of the French.

the only people that make them unwelcome are George W. Bush, his administration, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and the Republicans of America. And Why???? Simply because they felt there was not enough reason to attack Iraq. Because they did not want their countrymen killed or maimed for lack of reason to attack... News flash - there never was enough reason to attack Iraq. The above people owe the people of France an apology. As for the morons who replied with such ignorant hate to this question, you need to educate yourselves. Stop listening to talk radio and Fox News. You are not getting the truth.
