Yes (see the exception thing below.)
You should use secondary protection for one entire cycle of your birth control pill schedule. This can be a condom,(%95-99 effective) or condom with spermicidal foam (as good as the pill i.e., %100 effective.) I wouldn't recommend other types of non-hormonal B/C, becasue these two are cheap, simple, and so effective.
There are a lot of caveats and exceptions to what I've said, but I don't even want to mention them because this is such an important protection. I'm sure you do not want to take the risk of becoming pregnant. If you are having difficulty remembering to take the pill, talk to your OB/GYN about an IUD. They are %100 effective and good for 5-10 years.

if im understanding your question correctly, you are fine to miss up to 2 days of the pill, on the day u remember u should take 2 every day until u are caught up w/your cycle. u can double check w/your doctor, but i went thru the same thing, but its recommended for 1 week to use back up contreception

If you only miss one it is no big deal although it doesn't hurt to be careful for a few days. Just take it as soon as you remember and get back on track.
