why is it that the dems are against voter IDs? do they want to commit fraud? they claim its "unconstitutional", but did you notice that most of the time when the left claims that something is "unconstitutional", its really just blowing the issues out of proportion, because even if voter IDs are unconstitutional, does it hurt? does getting searched at the stadium before a football game hurt? no, no one complained about the 4 second searches yet except one guy who cried on CNN. him and the ACLU think it hurts. these are small issues that the left is blowing out of proportion. i think they make such a big deal over voter IDs because they want to get illegals to vote, among other things. frankly, i have nothing to hide, and i dont care about these little things as long as illegals dont get to vote.

Those long lines keep them from getting home in time for Oprah...

The "poll tax," Anthony? How rich! The liberal "tax it if it moves," is worried about a "poll tax?" LOL!

"...because even if voter IDs are unconstitutional, does it hurt?"

This is one of the stupidest comments I've seen on this board. There is a very good reason why it's unconstitutional. If you weren't in such a hurry to make a dig against democrats you would have taken 5 minutes to research it. If you care more about knowing the truth of the issue rather than throwing partisan insults then you'll check it out for yourself.

I'm not against it if IDs are free to acquire. Otherwise, it amounts to a poll tax which is illegal. And most illegals have some form of ID (aquired illegally, sure) so it's unlikely that it would prevent most illegals.

My biggest issue is that it's a solution to a non-problem.

LIke you are not smart enough to know they have been using fake names for years to try and win elections?? Nothing wrong with making picture id's mandatory if you are not doing wrong. Other countries around the world have picture id's as part of their culture.

Would you want to bring back the poll tax too?

For most people, their voter registration card works just fine.

You shouldn't need several forms of id to vote.
