No, it doesn't mean he has to leave WWE. Just Smackdown. I think once he's heals from surgery(which I believe is the reason WWE did the "I quit" match) than he will probably go to Raw.

No, it was all planned. He has needed surgery for months now, and this was their way to put him out of action for a while. He should be back in about 6 months and probably go to Raw but who knows. But no, he still will be a WWE wrestler when he returns. I hope that answers your question.
