You could just combine the washer and waste thickness (3/32 + 1/16). This is 5/32.

Now divide 25.5 by 5/32 to get your answer.

The closest answer is 163 washers. You actually have a little left over, but not enough for another whole washer.

So the best answer is:
B) 163

I didn't get an exact answer for this question.
Firstly you add up how much was cut in total including the waste. That would be 1/16+3/32=5/32
using 25.5 we divide it by 5/32
and will get 25.5/(5/32)=163.2 rounded off to 163 which is B

It's easier to convert the fractions to decimals. 3/32 is .09375 and 1/16 is .0625. Added toget it's .15625. 25.5 divided by .15625 is 163.2
So I guess (C) 163 is the best answer
