It is against nature. One might be born with homosexual tendencies but they should do everything possible to get healed of their afflictions. I guess child preditors should be compared to a minority group too be accepted in society as normal. It makes about as much sense. please note whereas it might not be against the law to be a homosexual, it is against God's law and you can't get a lawyer to defend you when he judges you. Also as far as animals being homosexual, well they don't have souls and don't know right from wrong and when they die, that's it for them, no judgement or afterlife.

It doesn't go against nature. There are examples of homosexuality in nature, mostly in overpopulated areas. To say that homosexuality is a choice is ignorant. Child predators will never be considered a minority group because what they are doing is against the law. How would they ever be able to strive for equal rights when they're breaking the law to begin with? That doesn't make any sense at all. There are no laws against homosexuality, and they have every right to strive for equal rights. I'm getting a little bit off track...
Homosexuality isn't a choice. If you're born a certain way, you should not be oppressed because of it. Homosexuals are not the majority of the population, therefore they are considered a minority.
In response to your edit: You said that homosexuality is against nature. Regardless of whether or not animals have souls or what God's intent for them was (I disagree with you on the purpose of animals), animals have practiced homosexuality IN NATURE. Therefore, homosexuality is not against nature. Therefore, it is not a choice. Therefore, we should not oppress homosexuals who are in the minority.
Also, lest you forget, we live in a country that supports freedom of religion. Not all people believe that homosexuality breaks God's law. See also: Judaism (Jesus was a Jew). No law on the books should follow any religious belief because we live in a country that is not based on any religious belief structure or religion. Let God judge those people. In the mean time, they should be recognized for what they are. The minority because they definitely are NOT the majority.

I don't even know where to begin in answering your question.
- Women aren't a minority group. There are more women on this earth then there are men.
- Whether you approve of homosexuality or not, it is not against nature to be gay. It's scientifically proven that people are born straight, gay or bisexual.
- It's very wrong of you to compare gays to child preditors.
- Why is it so important to you what other people do or want? Most people that react this strongly to gay people are closet gays themselves. I am not saying that this is the case here, but why else would you mind this much?
- I guess you are talking from a religious point of view. But then please explain why you are so self-righteous that you believe you know what god approves of.
If you believe that god is the big creator, then you will have to accept that he created gay people too.

Well, Miss Know it all.....Gay's do not have a choice in their sexuality much like your not having a choice in your gender. Comparing gays to child predators is like comparing all women to prostitutes. Minority status is given to a group of people usually smaller in population and not given equal rights as a citizen. Not too long ago women could not own real estate, vote, get worthwhile employment and were classified as property of the husband..... they were considered a minority. I may add that interracial marriages were once considered abnormal and against the law. What is normal??? Over 50% of straight marriages end in divorce. Many children are raised without their fathers who usually refuse to pay child support and end up being supported by the rest of us tax paying citizens.
