Nuclear bombs are not made out of Meccano sets, Nuclear Bombs require expertise which I would imagine is way beyond the likes of Al Qeada. Now they may have the ability to make a dirty bomb a bomb full of Nuclear waste but that is a long way away from a Nuclear Bomb. Not sure when but I think it was in the fifties the US accidentally dropped a Thermonuclear Bomb (H-Bomb) on Spain, although it exploded into millions of tiny pieces it failed to detonate and burst, the clean up cost the US a small fortune but it killed no one maybe a few Cows and Sheep maybe but as far as I know it caused very little damage. Its not easy to build a Nuclear device and its harder still to get one to successfully detonate and even if you manage to do all that it would be near-on impossible to successfully smuggle it over Border's. Now these terrorists may believe what they have been told that Al Qeada has a Nuclear Bomb, but that is a long long long way from Al Qeada actually having one. In WW2 the Japanese people were told that they were winning the war right up to the day they surrendered and many believed it. Fanatics will believe anything if tell em often enough what they want to hear.

If Im hearing you right, are you saying that you want someone to
agree with you that this is a bad law? Let me go a little further in s
aying that even if you give the slightess indication that you, or any
one else is going to deal with a bomb in a dangerous way? Then
you should be put away for the rest of your days, or put to death
imediately. Do you realize what you are saying, and the subject y
ou have opened up? I dont know if you are aware of this or not? B
ut we are living in some criticle and dangerous times, and I would
nt want to worry about there might be someone like you living so
close to me , and so many other inocent people? Please try to ke
ep thoughts like this to yourself, and far out of the reach of others
who may scare easily with very good causes. THANKS

Unbelievable, I guess they do not take the situation seriously. Death is the only acceptable punishment for any such act. Hopefully we have alert citizenry that can help the government avert such a scenario. The man on the street is going to be the best source to stopping something like this.

why do you ask? i think the law probably does not apply to me or many others besides who cares about a fine if your talkin nuclear? well the person who were to set the bomb off would probably be dead or real sick at that point right or if no less they would be crazy so i think the law doesn't mean much...i wouldn't try to find out its not my idea of fun

I doubt anyone who wants to detonate a nuclear bomb would be deterred by a fine. If instant death or life imprisonment isn't stopping them, going after their wallet isn't going to help.

Yikes. Yeah, that'll deter a suicide bomber, right?

Cuz heaven knows they don't want their personal bank account worth all of $1.47 to be seized upon a post-mortem conviction.

Why, o why are there no rolling eyes emoticons here????

Well, Bill, I think thats all well and good.

But if you say you are sorry, you aren't going to do it again and you promise to come back to the table and talk to your parents about it, then its just a mistake a kid shouldn't have held against him.

:)

The law in its current form is obscure, obligatory and specious. If I am made emperor, I plan to abolish it AND the law mandating driver licenses...

Too little too late. Perhaps we should also wrap their knuckles with a ruler like Sister Mary Katherine.
