TooFaced has fun mixes/colors; i have this one in particular that is burgandy with teal specks and brownish. VERY FUN. MAC has a bunch of different colors so you can either do neutrals or BOLD colors; i have MANY of both. Those are my two faves!

You do get what you pay for, but different brands work better on different people so you need to go into a store a few times and each time ask a counter to put some on you, then see how it goes.
A friend of mine swears by Clinique but it just goes into lines and dissolves on me. I think Chanel is good.

You know, I've tried them all. Believe it or not some of the best are the inexpensive one versus the most expensive. If you watch QVC at all, Tova has good products. Her mascara is probably the best of all. Other than that, try the local pharmacy or Walmart. They sell high end to inexpensive..........(Or go thru internet and get Bobbie Brown or Mac products)

The best brand of make-up I have found is from Avon. It is called MARK PRODUCTS. It's a little high but the make-up stays on for a longer period of time. It's not like the products out in stores, in 3 hours you don't have any one. Check out Avon online.

Ben Nye does a good range of really bright eyeshadows, or go for Barry M if you're feeling cheap (Mind you, the latter gets everywhere if you're not careful, as it's loose powder).
For coloured eyeliners, it HAS to be FCUK. I use their melon(orange) eyeliner all the time!

M.A.C is really good. I love their eye-shadows, and lig glosses. You should also try using Benefit, they're makeup goes on very smooth, feels like your not even wearing makeup.
