you can go out and have a couple of drinks but don't get wasted or anything stupid like that. Is that hard for you to stay away from the booze for a few more days and let yourself get better???

Antibiotics kill bacteria. You've been put on a course of them to destroy the bacteria that were making you ill. You need to complete the course or the symptoms will come back a lot worse and you will be releasing antibiotic-resistant bacteria into the environment. Alcohol stops antibiotics from working. You mustn't drink alcohol at all, let alone get drunk. If you drink, it's the same as ending the course early. You'll make yourself ill and potentially you'll help give rise to new incurable diseases.

Antibiotics are living organisms. Alcohol will weaken them and allow the disease or infection to get stronger, possibly mutate into antibiotic immune. Then you are screwed.
