depends on how you carry your weight.

I'm 5'2 22 years old and 153 pounds and a size 5. Also muscle is heavier than fat ;)

I would think that you are perfect for your height.

EDIT:

According to the chart! I'm off the chart! LOL My lowest was 120 and I was a size 00 and that's considered a small frame according to that chart. I think it also depends on your ethnicity! I'm Puerto Rican and my weight is distributed alot differently than a Caucasian woman (Remember JLO)

If you look strictly at your Body Mass Index (BMI) then you are presently at the high end of normal or the low end of overweight. Here is how you calculate your BMI:
BMI=(Weight in Pounds/(Height in inches X Height in inches)) X 703.
Your BMI = (179/(71 X 71)) X 703 = 24.96
A BMI of less than 18.5 is considered underweight,
18.5 - 24.9 is considered normal,
25 - 29.9 is considered overweight
30 and above is considered obese

BMI is a good measurement for the average person who does not exercise. If you are a consistent exerciser then the measurement you want to look at is your percent body fat. If you have a large amount of muscle mass that can translate to a larger than normal BMI. For example, I have a female client with a body fat of 18% (14 - 22% is considered lean). She is 5'2" and weighs 125 lbs. Her present BMI is 32.5 which according to the chart makes her obese, but her 18% body fat tells me she is not obese.
So again, if you are a non exercising couch potato then the standard BMI is an okay measurement. If you are a consistent exerciser have your % body fat measured.

What people don't realize is that on tall girls weight spreads out....a tall person can gain 20 pounds and people usually won't even be able to tell it. All they see is a skinny girl and assume she weighs 130 or 140...well, if a girl 5'11 weighs that much then she will probably look anorexic. A girl your height should weigh between 160-185, but these also depends on your bone structure and your muscles (which both weigh more than fat). But don't worry about it, you definitely are NOT over weight.

I learned this in science

For every 5 feet allow 110 lbs. and allow 4 lbs. for every extra inch above 5 feet. if u r large boned add 20%, if u r small boned take away 20%. so if u r avrage boned, your ideal weight is 154. HOPE THIS WORKS
I'm 11 years 5 9 tall and weigh 156

Your BMI is 25
This is within the BMI range of 20-25 which experts generally consider to be healthy. If you feel like losing a few pounds could improve your energy, overall health and self-esteem, go for it. Experts generally consider a BMI below 20 to be underweight and a BMI of 20 to 25 to be healthy. BMIs of 25 to 30 are generally considered overweight while a BMI over 30 is generally considered very overweight (obese).

okay well im 5'11 and i weigh about 157 so that is kinda of normal. i would say that you are a little over weight but it shouldn't be anything to really worry about. now if you were 185 pounds then you would have to worry. just start working out a little bit.

Depends on how the weight is distributed. If you are well proportioned, then I'd say everything's fine.

you could probably stand to lose a little wieght. but if your almost 6 feet it wont look that fat, cause your taller. but also remember that muscle weighs more then fat!

It sounds fine to me. If you're happy with yourself, why worry what anyone else thinks?
