I've heard a few horror stories about Ebay purchases, but still everyone raves about 'look on Ebay' or 'Ebay it'. Anyone got a good or bad story to tell about Ebay?

I've got zero clue. A friend of mine ordered something big and when he received the "package," he recieved a PHOTO of the thing... which was, of course, beyond pathetic.. Those kind of "horrifying" things happen occasionally but hey, it's never happened to me, so I'm not that sensitive about buying stuff. But once it happens, it will make an impact. And I think it's a matter of WHAT you choose to buy as well. Like, (your a guy.. but) ppl should never purchase a dress off eBay because you can't really be SURE of how it really is by looking at the pictures. Authenticity is definitely something that needs to be worked on though..

They put so much faith in it because they are too lazy to help build up one of the smaller better sites. FeeBay and PayUpPal rape their customers and too many of them keep taking the abuse! If another site were to have the selection that you can find on eBay.. everyone would be like "ebay?? whats that!??" Until then. they are here to stay and plunder and pillage.

It's still good, u just gotta be careful. But the bad is 1%, the rest is 99% good.

Because it is a secure website. They have a foolproof pay system and it works. They have by far more people reading their site than any other similar place.
