I am sick of all the negative ad campaigns, they really don't impress me as most of the ads are full of poo poo. But not voting would be irresponsible. I am not willing to give that up, I will do my own research to find the right people I wish to give my vote to. I am also a firm believer in the "if you don't vote then don't *itch" movement. If you didn't care enough to vote, then you have no right to complain about who got elected!!!

Yes, I am sick of it, which is why I will not only vote, but I insisted that my husband register as a Republican on the from the Democrats sent to our house, and I am dragging him to vote. (He didn't want to register because he didn't want jury duty, which I said wouldn't happen quickly. He got a jury notice less than a month after he sent the registration form in.) We cannot let the Democrats win! If they win (God forbid!), then maybe we should start whining about them fixing the election and let them hear how annoying it is, but if we DON'T vote, we're handing it to them on a silver platter. (Heck, I've never been so into politics as I am now that I'm on Answers. Democrats and their Bush bashing have made me like this!)

I'm planning to vote! It is a "RIGHT" that we as US Citizens have under the US Constitution. Do you really want to give up that right by not voting? I would suggest that all the young people that have a right to vote, do so. If not our most important issue which will affect us would be less funding for education and more funding for the "war on terrorism" if that's what you want then don't vote!

I don't know how someone call him/her self American and not vote. the right to vote is the most important right in a democracy and democracy is America. Not voting is like spiting on our fore father grave yard.
But then again democracy is so great that you have the right not to vote.

I am Canadian. I haven't heard too much bashing going on. I really am just debating which is the lesser evil. I know Steven Harper was not very popular, but so far I think he is doing alright.

Not voting would be counterproductive. If one doesn't like the current situation, voting to change it would help.
I think NOT voting takes away your right to complain. If you don't participate in the process, then you have no grounds to complain.

I think that's exactly what the new Republican strategy is, because their base is so disillusioned that they won't show up. So they're sending everyone out to convince everyone they shouldn't vote.
Well, everyone SHOULD vote. Even the Republicans.
