First, I think the doctor is jumping the gun a little when, at 7 1/2 weeks, he's already saying you might have it. Second, placenta previa is a condition where the placenta covers the cervix--either in part or completely--which blocks the way out for the baby. Mothers who have this are usually kept under close observation. Depending on how far covered the cervix is, they might not be allowed to go into labor on their own. If it's only partially covered, the mother may be able to have a regular, vaginal birth. If it is completely covered, a c-section is necessary to prevent mom and baby from major complications--including death from excessive bleeding.
Now, from personal experience, I was told that I might have this when I was pregnant with my first child. I believe that I was told at around 14 weeks; however, my doctor told me it was way too early to tell whether or not I had it. The doctor said that the placenta took up most of the space in my uterus at that point, and that my uterus would effectively outgrow the problem--that's why it was too early to worry. When I went for a 20 week scan, I was told I did not have it. This pregnancy, I had some bleeding and was told that placenta previa may be a possibility; however, it was bleeding from behind the placenta. The scan that I had weeks later showed that the placenta was not even near my cervix.

Yes I have. Placenta Previa is when the Placenta is low and covering your cervix. It can still move away from that spot but it could stay as well. If it stays you will need a c- section. I had low line Previa and many ultra sounds. It did move out of the way witch is great. I'm 38 weeks with my first and I'm bleeding now. They think its the placenta. Its very weird for me to be bleeding right now, but my doctors seemed to think it was okay. You will get to see your twins alot more with the low line previa witch is good. Don't stress its not that big of a deal! They will just keep a closer eye on your two baby's Congrats and best of luck!
