but when you are taking the last week of you birth control pills (the white reminder pill) and you have sex is there a greater risk of pregnacy than with the other pills?

nope...
if you have taken the rest as per prescription, you can even let them out.
as you said, they are just there so you stay in the rythm of taking one every day.
its the other 21 or so that do the trick.

the reminder pills are just sugar pills and you don't have to take them. They are there so you stay taking them everyday and don't forget to start again on the new ones.

No just keep on schedule and it is the same no matter what pills you taking.
