It is not a stereotype nor a matter of contrast with the skin colour. They actually do and yes I have that some also brush their teeth with soda powder. They DO tend to have very white teeth, well..not all of them but a lot !
I mean.......do white people have black teeth then by contrast :-))??? LOL !

I am told that my teeth are very white, but I brush with baking soda and water once a week. I haven't noticed that black people have whiter teeth, maybe it is the contrast of dark skin to white teeth.

LOL, most of the time black people are darker than white, latin [etc]. When something is dark and you put something light on it, it is going to appear lighter because it's such a contrast. But if you put something light on something light you won't notice that much. ^_^ there you go.

it's the skin color contrast because i had a friend who kept staying on the sunbed for long time everyday for about a week.
i felt her teeth became really white when she turned really black !!!

LOL!!! OMG I thought your question was going to end in something very negative! Anyway it might be the skin color contrast. But believe me if you see a few that just don't practice good oral hygeine they don't have the brightest of teeth! It's funny my Fiance asked me this same question when we first started dating! He was comaparing his white friends who smoke to his black friends that smoke!

coz they r dark their teeth stand out and seem extra white, but with extremly white people their teeth hav a yellowish look to it.
