Try your local community college. They don't care about GPAs and test scores, and if you study hard and do well there, after two years you can transfer to a real university.
By the way, you mean "accept," not "except." A common mistake, but something to work on if you want to go to college.

You may want to start with a community college if there is one in your town. If not most State University have an acceptance policy for residence of their State. Check the admissions policy for the State University in your State. There is an admission placement test everyone takes that will place you in the appropriate classes. If you score low, you will be placed in a remedial class. Remember the first year or two of college, you will be taking the basic requirements. This will give you time to decide your major. Good luck and God bless.

State schools take those type of GPA's. Like University of Connecticut. I don't know where you life, but the state schools are a good place to start if you don't want to go to CC.

I second the community college- try taking classes there first, and you can transfer. Even if you do not want to transfer, you will still have a degree and qualifications.
