I'm thinking about going to a cell phone only. I don't have cable TV and don't want it. I don't have internet at home now because it appears all that is availble in my area is dial up and I don't want to do that anymore.

You can get cable internet as long as you have a cable outlet, you don't need cable television. I have cable internet and am disconnecting my cable TV. Or you can go to Radio Shack and get the wireless internet, but that usually requires extra stuff on your computer. I would just get cable internet.

There are satellite internet systems that would work but because of the time lag on-line gaming is next to impossible. If that is not a concern for you satellite may be the way to go.

There are few Mobile phone companies that have broad band Internet with a laptop network card.
You can try that.

you can hook up a wireless port to your neighbor's phone, put the account in their name and use a wireless laptop. Sure it's illegal, but now days it seems if people aren't doing something illegal and getting something for free they aren't happy.
