I was born in Australia to my American mum and Aussie dad. I moved to Philadelphia a few months ago and I intend on living in the U.S. the rest of my life. Do I need to apply for American citizenship or do I already got it because of my mum?

You and your dad would have to apply for it unless you were born in US.

Your question won't be able to be replied with basically the recommendations you presented. i elect to understand..... what's your age? develop into your mom a US citizen on the time you've been born? on the time of your delivery did your mom report a report of delivery in a overseas united states of america with the U. S. embassy, or between the U. S. consulates, in Australia? mainly, you could likely declare US citizenship through your mom. you favor to the contact the dept of State in Washington, DC, no longer Immigration facilities. in case your mom did report the report of delivery in a overseas united states of america you need to have little worry. If she did not you'd be required to grant qualified copies of a unprecedented many information to envision her citizenship on the time you've been born and to envision the actual undeniable actuality that you extremely are her daughter.

I heard that if you marry an American then you atomaticaly become an American. Either that or you can get a passport to America easier. Forgot which one it is but it's one of those. But I'm pretty sure that you have to apply to become one.

Unless you were born here you will be considered Australian. See a lawyer, there may be laws especially if you are a minor.
