Need help understanding a sidekick 2?

I do not understand how the sim card works .... is that your "minutes". And you just pay as you go. When your time is out you just buy another card or... is there a seperate online/phone bill you pay.... I'm out of touch with this techno stuff and I would appreciate someone filling me in.

the sim card is where ur memory is and u use a t-mobile card as minutes or u can pay monyhly if your wit t-mobile

A sim card is like the id for the phone. It connects to network and has all the info like ur plan minutes etc. All tmobile and cingular phones have sim cards in them.
